The Aetna POS plan works just like a traditional PPO plan in that members can seek care from the provider of their choice, whether in or out of the plan’s network. Just like a traditional PPO, there is no requirement that you select a PCP or obtain referrals to specialists – you have the freedom of choice to control how you access health care services.
